These tutorials will be sent as a pre-recorded video, with the link emailed out to you on the below dates. You’ll be led through the process from start to finish, learning the professional methods and tricks of the trade.

Available for life, these will allow you to pause and re-watch the videos so that you can follow along at your own pace. They’re a high quality recording, allowing you to see all the close up fiddly bits.

• Long Stitch - Perfect for sketchbooks, this structure shows off the sewing.
  

• Link Stitch ‘coptic’ - intricate exposed spine sewing that allows for lay-flat binding
  

• Hardcover - A classic and versatile structure, also known as a ‘case binding’. Cover made in ‘quarter binding’ style.

For each workshop, you’ll need:
Greyboard or millboard
Covering material - ie bookcloth or paper
Linen thread
Needle - (curved needle is best for the link stitch ‘coptic’ class)
Scissors
Awl
Bone folder
Glue and brush
Waste paper
Ruler
A cradle or magazine
Scrap board
A craft knife (Olfa, Stanley etc)
A cutting mat

A cutting list will be sent ahead of time so that you can prepare your materials. Size is for A5 books but you’ll be taught how to scale up your books.
